Staying at Cliff Lodge reminded me of a dream! The amazing view from my room was a treat every morning. Watching whales right from my balcony added a magical touch to the experience. The Penthouse Suite was spacious and comfortable. Gideon and Gill were very nice hosts. They attended to every detail with such care. Breakfast was a feast. The homemade options made every morning special. They even organized dinner at fantastic nearby restaurants without me asking. The only downside was the intermittent electricity supply, a slight inconvenience. This didn't overshadow the overall enjoyment. The atmosphere was warm and cute. Can't wait to return!

Location: the hotel was just next door to Constantia, Franschhoek, Hermanus and Stellenbosch, Hermanus for coffee and horse riding along Pearly Beach and the beach. The king room we stayed in was gorgeous. The continental breakfast was gorgeous, included exceptional dishes.

I had a grand time staying in the Penthouse Suite, watching right whales playing in the water from my room. The breakfast each morning, with its divine selection, was just mighty! Just a wee bit of hassle with the Wi-Fi, but truly worth it all.

The family loved the cozy common area where we shared stories after a day of hiking and watching whales. Breakfast was a treat every morning, and we were so grateful for the friendly staff who helped us book a local boat trip on short notice.
In my wife's opinion, a more varied children's menu would be great.
